The Kent Student Center at Kent State University has added new single stream recycling bins throughout the building. The new bins allow students to recycle paper, plastic, metal, and other containers in one place. Students are more likely to participate in recycling now that it is more convenient. Dr. Timeka Rashid, associate dean of students stated, "The single stream recycling for the Kent Student Center is an effort to get on board with Academics and the Residence Services. This is a clean, green, and friendly way to take recycling to the next level. The student center is committed to meet the needs of the environment in the most modern and efficient way."
