A man injured Monday in a hunting accident in Kent died early Wednesday.
Donald Pigg, 56, of Beverly Hills, Fla., was pronounced dead at 1:13 a.m. Wednesday at Akron City Hospital, according to the Summit County Medical Examiner, after undergoing surgery on a gunshot wound.

Kent Police responded to an 8:44 a.m. call Monday that a man had been shot while hunting in a wooded area north of Howe Road between Mogadore and Sunnybrook roads.
Pigg was found and taken to Akron City Hospital by the Kent Fire Department. Brimfield and Stow police departments provided assistance.
The area in which the incident occurred is in the southernmost point of Kent's city limits on property formerly known as Spring Water Park and is bordered by Brimfield.
The discharge of firearms within city limits is illegal.
Kent police said that there was no indication that any gunman remains in the area posing any type of danger to the public, and there is an ongoing criminal investigation.
Lt. Jim Prusha of the Kent police said detectives are meeting today with Portage County Prosecutor Victor Vigluicci to discuss the case.
No other details have been released and no charges have been filed.
