Kent railroads to be topic of Historical Society Museum program on Oct. 22

The Kent Historical Society Museum will present its All About Kent speaker series at 7 p.m. Tuesday.

The program will be held at Christ episcopal Church, 118 S. Mantua St., Kent. A complimentary dessert reception will follow at the Pufferbelly Restaurant.

The title of the program will be: The Lake Cities Isn't Running Today: How Kent Transformed from Railroad Town.

Craig Sanders, president of the Akron Railroad Club and a noted transportation historian, will review the historic transformation of the railroads that ran through Kent and the surrounding area.
