Ravenna's annual leaf pick-up program will begin on Oct. 28, starting in Ward 4 and then moving to Ward 3, Ward 2 and Ward 1, continuing in the cycle until the end of leaf season in December.
There will be no brush or bag pick-up after the week of Oct. 21. There also will no longer be a leaf bag container at the Street Department garage on Oakwood Street after the end of October.
The city is asking residents not to use the paper bags during this time, because they will no be distributed during the leaf pickup program.
Leaves must be raked to the curb in loose piles. Grass clippings and flowers can be added to the leaves, but leaves will not be picked up if mixed with tree limbs, brush or debris.
Residents are asked not to rake leaves into the street because it clogs storm drainage systems and creates flooding problems.
Vehicles should not be parked in front of leaf piles.
