The fourth annual Celtic Club Fights Breast Cancer bra display returned to downtown Kent this month.The event raises breast cancer awareness and conveys a message of hope. Included this year were a 25-foot banner with "HOPE" spelled out in large pink block letters and an eighteen foot pink bra made by artist Amy Mothersbaugh, owner of Studio 2091 in Cuyahoga Falls. The event is one of eight conducted by the Celtic Club this year. Also this month to commemorate Breast Cancer Month were a 760-foot display on the Lincoln Way West bridge over the Towpath/Tuscarawas River in Massillon and a 715-foot display on the Portage Trail bridge over the Cuyahoga River/S.R. 8 in Cuyahoga Falls. After the displays the donated bras are given to battered women's shelters.
