Halloween fun in Kent

Robert J. Lucas | Record-Courier Published:

Children from Kent and surrounding communities showed off their spooky and silly costumes Friday in downtown Kent for Main Street Kent's Family Friendly Halloween event. Throughout the evening, kids spent time trick-or-treating at local businesses, making Halloween crafts in Acorn Alley's Earl's Nest, partaking in a haunted dance party in the train car next to the Pufferbelly and a strutting their stuff for a costume contest judged by Kent State University's mascot, Flash. Above, from left, Nicholas Timberlake, 9, of Stow, shows off his costume with his cousins, Max McEwuen, 5, and William McEwuen, 8, both of Rootstown. At right, Brenna, 6, and Ella Vodila, 7, both of Kent, are all smiles.
