A "Dog Walk" held in honor of Veterans Day raised $1,900 for local veteran service organizations. Participants walked from the Big Dog Saloon to the Veterans Memorial at the Portage County Courthouse. Proceeds were donated to the White House, Miss Liberty House and the Freedom House -- all are homes for displaced veterans.
