Son of Cuyahoga Falls Mayor-elect Don Walters sought on felony drug charge

The son of Cuyahoga Falls Mayor-elect Don Walters is being sought on a felony drug charge, according to court records.

The Summit County Sheriff's Department issued an arrest warrant for Nicholas A. Walters, 19, of 10th Street, on a charge of trafficking in drugs on Thursday according to Stow Municipal Court records. The offense is a fourth-degree felony.

In a phone message to the Falls News-Press on Friday, Don Walters confirmed that Nicholas A. Walters is his son and added that Nicholas currently lives with his mother. Don Walters said he has spoken with his son's mother to gather more information about the situation.

"The last I heard was they wanted to question him on some things going on, and … I don't know those details," said Walters. "(We'll) see what happens…"

The courts indicate the alleged offense occurred on Oct. 10.
