Hiram College President Tom Chema appointed to U.S. Senate task force on education

Hiram College President Tom Chema has been appointed to a bi-partisan task force on Government Regulation of Higher Education by the U.S. Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions, the college announced Monday.

The group is charged with examining the burden of federal regulations and reporting requirements on institutions of higher learning. Co-chairs of the task force will be Chancellor Nicholas Zeppos of Vanderbilt University and Chancellor William Kirwin of the University System of Maryland.

Chema is in his 11th year as president of Hiram College.
