The Portage County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in locating a suspect in the murder of a person reported missing from Alliance, whose body was found inside a Franklin Township apartment on Friday.

John R. Fox, 34, with a last known address at the Storer Suites apartments, 1783 E. Main St., Franklin Township, is wanted for murder, according to Portage County Sheriff David Doak.

Fox is a white male, 6 feet tall and 160 pounds with brown hair, hazel eyes and a large number of tattoos on both arms. He was last seen leaving work at a business on Martinel Drive in Kent at approximately 11:15 a.m. Friday, according to the sheriff's office.

Fox should be considered armed and dangerous, and Doak said anyone who knows his location should not take action but call 911 or the sheriff's office at 330-296-5100, extension 0.

The victim, whose identity was not released pending notification of family members, was found early Friday afternoon, Portage County Prosecutor Victor Vigluicci said at the scene.
