The Kent Police Department will activate the emergency siren system at 9:50 a.m. today as part of a statewide tornado safety drill.
The drill, organized by the Ohio Committee for Severe Weather Awareness, is part of the annual National Severe Weather Preparedness Week, which runs from March 2-8.
The emergency sirens will sound for three minutes.
