Kent Hall of Fame Class of 2013: Stanford Apseloff

A 1977 Roosevelt graduate, Stanford Apseloff was the chess league MVP. He received a BA from the University of Pennsylvania, a BS from The Wharton School, an MBA with Honors from the University of Chicago and a Juris Doctor degree from The Ohio State University College of Law. He also served in the U.S. Navy Reserve. After higher education, Apseloff committed his professional and personal life to social, community and environmental improvement. He founded businesses dedicated to providing early education software to a million children and health and nutrition software to a million adults, as well as cofounded Ohio Clinical Trials to study new medications and treatments. An avid conservationist and wildlife photographer, Apseloff has traveled to all seven continents to take photos published in Encyclopædia Britannica and in his books and calendars. He is also a four-time world record holder for the most pull-ups in 60 seconds and does charity pull-ups to fight childhood cancer.
