Kent Hall of Fame Class of 2014: Susan Van Vorst

A 1979 Roosevelt graduate, Susan Van Vorst participated in a number of musical opportunities including band and choir. Her life's work focuses on supporting the arts, providing opportunities for young artists and stimulating arts-centered philanthropy. She served as Director of Development for The Cleveland Orchestra and as Chief Advancement Officer for Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens. As Director of the Conservatory of Music at Baldwin Wallace University in Berea, Ohio, Van Vorst provides vision and leadership for the well-recognized undergraduate program. Van Vorst graduated summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree in music from Kent State University and with a master's degree in arts management from The University of Akron.
