The Village of Mantua will be replacing several fire hydrants beginning today, and most work should be completed by Friday, weather permitting.
If the work is not able to be completed it may roll over into the next week. Residents may experience a loss of water pressure or discolored water during the daytime hours, but not before 9 a.m. Residents whose water will be shut off temporarily will receive notices explaining what to expect.
If you are affected by a shutoff or if your water is discolored as a result of the work, the village recommends boiling your drinking water following the return of normal service for up to 24 hours.
