The Portage County Health Department is holding a childhood immunization clinic and free HIV testing today in Windham.
The clinic is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Renaissance Family Center, 9005 Wilverne Drive, for children from 2 months to 18 years of age.
Cost is $10 per shot, free to those who can't pay. Medicaid, Buckeye, Care Source, and United Health are accepted. Parents or guardians should bring immunization records.
Free HIV testing will also be offered from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Quick tests are used with results at the end of the session. Test is oral with no needles used.
The Portage County Health Department provides Childhood and Teen Immunization Clinic every Wednesday from 8 a.m. to noon. This is a walk-in clinic, no appointment necessary, at the health department offices, 705 Oakwood St., second floor, Ravenna.
The PCHD Nursing Division also provides adult immunizations on Tuesdays from 8 to 10 a.m. by appointment only. Call 330-298-4490, ext. 119 to schedule an appointment.
