Students at Northeast Ohio Medical University will host a free community health fair, "The Body and Beyond," from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the Ralph Regula Conference Center.
The fair will include health screenings, including cholesterol, body mass index, blood pressure, blood sugar testing, glaucoma screening, and heart disease risk assessments as well as HIV and AIDS testing, presentations on health topics such as diabetes, cancer, mental health, nutrition ,exercise, smoking cessation and more. There will also be a "Kids' Corner" dedicated to children's activities, including face paintings and games along with safety education and demonstrations.
This year's exhibit will feature medication reviews with pharmacists and pharmacy students, and participants are encouraged to bring unused, unwanted or expired medications for safe disposal. For more information, www.neomed.edu/students/student-health-fair/2014-health-fair.
