The Kent Area Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for its annual Business and Community Expo and Taste of Kent on Saturday at Theodore Roosevelt High School. The expo runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will showcase more than 100 area businesses and crafters. Last year's event drew more than 2,000 people. The Taste of Kent, which runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. during the expo and is sponsored by Sitting Pretty Linens, will feature food from a dozen Kent eateries including Belleria, Bistro on Main, Theodore Roosevelt High School DECA, Fresco Mexican Grill & Salsa Bar, Kent State University Hotel & Conference Center, Little City Grill, Longhitano's Gallery Pub & Grill, Popped!, Ray's Place, Rise & Shine Café and Twisted Meltz. Admission to the expo is free. Tickets for Taste of Kent, which are exchanged for samples, are $1 each or six for $5.
