League of Women Voters information available online, at libraries

The voter guide for the primary election on May 6, prepared by the League of Women Voters of Kent and Northern Portage County, is now available at libraries in Portage County.

Candidate information may be viewed online at www.vote411.org. Enter your address, then select: "Get personalized information on candidates and issues," "Find My Information," choose your party, and finally "Go to My Races." If you are voting Issues Only, go to the League of Women Voters of Kent website at www.kent.oh.lwvnet.org and select the voter guide. The issues are described on pages 39-42.

The League of Women Voters, a nonpartisan political organization, encourages informed and active participation in government, works to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and influences public policy through education and advocacy. Membership in the league is open to all citizens of voting age, male or female. The league is funded by members' dues and contributions from members and non-members.
