HoneyBaked Ham & Cafe breaks ground in Streetsboro

HoneyBaked Ham & Café owner Steve Schwartz recently hosted a groundbreaking ceremony for a new three-unit plaza on S.R. 14 in Streetsboro

The site is located in front of Big Dee's Tack and Vet Supply, just west of the former Eat 'N Park restaurant, which is slated to become The Happy Moose later this year.

The plaza will be a three-unit, 10,100-square-foot building and will offer HoneyBaked Ham & Café greater visibility than it has at its Liberty Corners Plaza location at the corner of Market Square Drive and S.R. 43.

HoneyBaked Ham and Sherwin Williams Paint will be located on the end units. The remaining unit located in the middle is about 2,000 square feet.

Schwartz said he is excited about the new plaza and is focused on using local Streetsboro resources on the project.

The goal for completion will be around November. Sherwin Williams will move into the plaza when it is finished, however HoneyBaked Ham will not move until after the holidays.

Schwartz welcomed many guests including Streetsboro officials; Mike Curtis, owner of Curtis Layer Design; Home Savings & Loan Streetsboro; family members; Portage County Development Board; and chamber of commerce directors from Hudson, Kent, Streetsboro and Aurora.
