Twinsburg robbery could be linked to similar Kent crime

A man being sought for a robbery in Twinsburg may be a suspect in a robbery that occurred on the same day in Kent.

The Summit County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man who entered the Speedway gas station at 7966 Darrow Road in Twinsburg at about 8:15 a.m. on June 8 and showed the cashier a large knife. According to the sheriff’s office, the man demanded cash and threatened to harm the cashier if she did not cooperate. When another employee emerged from a back room, the suspect fled northbound on Darrow Road in a white SUV. 

The suspect is described as a white male in his early 20s, about 5-feet, 8-inches tall and between 140 and 160 pounds and with dark hair.

The man also may be responsible for a robbery earlier on June 8 at the Circle K on North Mantua Street in Kent.

The robbery was caught on surveillance video.

Anyone with information should contact the Summit County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau at 330-643-2131. Anyone with information leading to an arrest may be eligible for an award through Summit County Crime Stoppers.
