Voters reject Mogadore school levy

R-C staff report Published:

The fourth time was not the charm, as voters in the Mogadore Local School District defeated a levy.

The 5.9-mill continuing levy for the district that spans Summit and Portage counties was the only issue on the ballot in both counties for Tuesday's special election.

A little more than 1,000 voters turned out, with 442 voting in favor of the levy and 586 voting against it, according to complete but unofficial results from the boards of election in Summit and Portage counties.
