Kent police say man shot, wounded on Franklin Avenue Monday night


Kent police are asking for the public's help after a man was shot Monday night in the 500 block of Franklin Avenue.

According to Kent police, officers responded to the scene at 11:04 p.m. Monday for a report of a shooting. There, they found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound.

The victim was taken to a local hospital by the Kent Fire Department. Police did not release additional victim information, including his name or current condition.

The alleged shooter apparently fled on foot, according to police.

The Kent Police Department currently is investigating the shooting. Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call Kent police at 330-673-7732.
