A Shalersville man is facing felony charges after allegedly committing his sixth drunk driving offense in the last 20 years in Mantua Township in July.

Larry R. Wolfgang, 60, of 2763 Elton St., was indicted Sept. 13 on two counts of operating a vehicle under the influence, both fourth-degree felonies.

Wolfgang pleaded not guilty to the charges, posted $1,000 bond Monday at his arraignment in Portage County Common Pleas Court and was released pending future court dates. Conditions of Wolfgang's bond are no driving and random weekly drug and alcohol tests.

An Ohio Highway Patrol trooper stopped Wolfgang's vehicle in Mantua Township on July 31, according to a criminal complaint. Wolfgang allegedly had a blood alcohol concentration of .183, , according to the highway patrol. That is more than twice the legal limit to drive.

Specifications to the charges allege that Wolfgang has pleaded guilty to or been convicted of drunken driving at least five times in the last 20 years.
