The Portage County Historical Society will be hosting a presentation by Judith Bosau-Allen entitled “The Second Inaugural Address: Abraham Lincoln, God and Slavery” at 2 p.m. Nov. 26.
Bosau-Allen has a bachelor’s degree in history from Kent State University and a master’s degree in history from the University of Akron. She has done work on her doctorate in history at UA and taught numerous courses at KSU, UA and Mount Union College in Alliance.
She is a resident of Deerfield and member of Portage Community Chapel.
The event is free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be provided.
The historical society is located at 6549 N. Chestnut St., Ravenna.
