In other business, the township:

• Accepted a $1,000 donation from the new GetGo Cafe + Market in the township.

Fire Chief Mark Kozak said the money will be used to partner with the Kent Fire Department to purchase a machine to test fire hoses annually.

• Decided to file an insurance claim for two stolen pieces of township equipment.

Road Superintendent Darrell Stephens said a stone compactor was found missing, and was apparently loaded onto an open trailer that was previously stolen from a township building on Cleveland Road.

A new compactor costs more than $2,000, he said.

• Agreed to purchase a new snow plow for a township truck from Coia Implements.

Trustee Vince Coia abstained from the vote. Stephens said the township previously decided to buy a plow from another company and canceled the agreement because the plow never arrived.
