After more than a year, the Kent State University Planetarium renovation is complete, and its first show, The Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence, will be at 8 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
The presentation shows humanity's search for intelligent life elsewhere in the universe. After providing a tour of the Ohio night sky, the presentation will explore celestial objects that may harbor life millions to trillions of miles away.
The hour-long show is free and open to the public, but it is not recommended for children under the age of 6. Seating capacity is limited. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling 330-672-7009 and leaving a message with name, number of seats needed and contact information for confirmation. Those who have special needs are requested to call in advance of the desired presentation night so accommodations can be made.
