Learn about vernal pools at library

Judy Semroc of The Cleveland Museum of Natural History will give a photographic presentation about the importance, natural history and benefits of vernal pools on May 22 at 6:30 p.m. in the meeting room at Pierce-Streetsboro Library.

Vernal pools are temporary pools of water that are home to some of our rarely seen but beloved creatures. This event is free and open to the public. Call 330-626-4458 for registration or more information.

The Pierce-Streetsboro Library, a branch of the Portage County District Library, is located at 8990 Kirby Lane. The library is open Monday and Tuesday from 11 am to 7 p.m.; Wednesday and Friday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and closed on Thursday and Sunday.
