The Stark County Sheriff's Office and other member agencies of the Stark County OVI Task Force will be conducting sobriety checkpoints in the county on Wednesday. Maj. C.J. Stantz said officers and deputies will be out doing roadside checks of drivers for alcohol and drug impairment.
"We intend to inform the public that officers will be vigilant in detecting and apprehending impaired drivers," Stantz said. "We want to strongly recommend to those who will be consuming alcohol to plan for a designated driver or make other arrangements."
