A 42-year-old Francis Street woman was arrested May 12 on a warrant charging her with two counts of aggravated possession of drugs and one count of possession of cocaine, all fifth-degree felonies, after she allegedly possessed methamphetamine, the veterinary tranquilizer carfentanil and less than 5 grams of cocaine in the area of West Main and Francis streets on Dec. 1, according to Kent police.
A 43-year-old Alliance Road man was arrested May 13 and charged with violating a protection order, a first-degree misdemeanor, after he was found at a residence in the 7900 block of Tallmadge Road with a woman who had a protection order out against him, according to the Portage County Sheriff's Office.
A 27-year-old Clarion, Pa., woman was arrested May 12 and charged with one count each of possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, and driving under suspension, a first-degree misdemeanor, after an officer stopped her 2017 Nissan sedan in the 9100 block of S.R. 14. The woman allegedly was driving under a court-ordered license suspension, and a search of the vehicle turned up a single pill of the drug MDMA, also known as "ecstasy," "X" or "molly," according to Streetsboro police.
A 21-year-old Aurora man was arrested May 14 on a warrant charging him with theft, a fifth-degree felony. On March 7, in the 9700 block of South Delmonte Boulevard, the man allegedly stole property worth $1,500, according to Streetsboro police.
