A 24-year-old Randolph woman was arrested May 15 and charged with possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, after she allegedly was found in possession of white powder that tested positive for the presence of heroin, according to Brimfield police.
A 42-year-old Ravenna Avenue man was arrested May 15 and charged with domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor, after allegedly striking a female family member in the mouth and grabbing her around the neck, according to Ravenna police.
A 33-year-old Akron man was arrested May 15 on a warrant charging him with domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor. On March 21, in the 1500 block of Martin Road, the man allegedly assaulted a female family member, according to the Portage County Sheriff's Office.
A 47-year-old Chestnut Street man was arrested May 16 on a warrant charging him with domestic violence, a third-degree felony. On April 22, the man allegedly struck his wife and grabbed her face. The charge is a third-degree felony because the man has three prior convictions for domestic violence, one each in 2016, 2013 and 2012, according to Ravenna police.
