The city of Kent will close two roads near the western end of the Kent State University campus beginning Tuesday.
South Lincoln Street from around the 500 block to East College Avenue will be closed to through traffic beginning Tuesday until further notice, due to planned roadwork.
The detour is to take East School Street to Vine Street to Summit Street to Willow Street back to Lincoln Street, according to the city.
A section of Summit Street from Willow Street to Morris Road also will be closed until further notice for road and utility work. That closure also will commence Tuesday.
The eastbound detour is to follow South Water Street south, take a left on to S.R. 261 and return to Summit Street.
In both cases, local and emergency traffic will be maintained.
