AURORA

A 21-year-old Chesterland man was arrested June 1 and charged with one count each of obstructing official business, a second-degree misdemeanor, disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia, both minor misdemeanors, after allegedly damaging a toilet, a wall, a sliding glass door and blinds while trying to gain entry to a residence in the 100 block of Barrington Place East, then running from uniformed officers who ordered him to stop. Upon his arrest, the man also was found in possession of a pipe allegedly used to smoke marijuana, according to Aurora police.

BRIMFIELD

A 24-year-old Akron man was arrested June 1 on a warrant charging him with theft, a first-degree misdemeanor, for allegedly stealing a Keurig coffee maker, worth approximately $117, from the Brimfield Walmart on Sept. 25, according to Brimfield police.

GARRETTSVILLE

A 42-year-old Windham Township man was arrested June 1 and charged with one count each of possession of drug abuse instruments, a second-degree misdemeanor, failure to use a turn signal, a minor misdemeanor, and driving under suspension, an unclassified misdemeanor. An officer who stopped the man's 2016 Jeep SUV on Windham Street near Freedom Street for a traffic violation allegedly discovered the man was driving on a suspended license and in possession of a hypodermic needle the subject allegedly admitted was used to inject heroin, according to Garrettsville police.

KENT

Kelly A. Metcalf, 54, of 1101 S. Lincoln St., was arrested June 1 and charged with menacing by stalking, a fourth-degree felony, after allegedly engaging in a pattern of conduct that caused one of her neighbors to believe Metcalf would cause physical harm to her, or caused her mental distress according to Kent police.

RAVENNA TOWNSHIP

A 36-year-old resident of the 3400 block of S.R. 59 was arrested June 1 on a warrant charging her with domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor, after she allegedly punched a male family member in the face and threw things at him during an incident at her residence on May 22, according to the Portage County Sheriff's Office.

STREETSBORO

Michael J. Knerem, 18, of 2344 Granger Road, Medina, was arrested June 1 and charged with importuning, a fifth-degree felony, after allegedly soliciting sexual activity from a law enforcement officer who was posing online as a 14-year-old girl, according to Streetsboro police.
