Stephen A. Adams, 47, of 3146 Shearwater Circle, Ravenna Township, was arrested June 14 and charged with possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. Adams allegedly possessed less than 1 gram of a tan powdered substance that tested positive for the presence of heroin, according to Brimfield police.
Michael F. Textor, 45, of 3823 Morley Drive, was arrested June 14 and charged with one count each of improper handling of a firearm in a motor vehicle, a fifth-degree felony, and two counts of operating a vehicle under the influence, both first-degree misdemeanors. An officer stopped Textor's red 1995 Dodge pickup truck on S.R. 43 near Arcadia Road for a traffic violation, and allegedly found Textor under the influence of alcohol and in possession of a loaded .380-caliber Lorcin handgun found improperly secured behind the passenger seat of his truck, according to Brimfield police.
A 35-year-old Ravenna Township woman was arrested June 15 and charged with theft, a first-degree misdemeanor, after she allegedly walked out of the Acme Fresh Market store at 1709 S.R. 59 without paying for $97.82 worth of merchandise, according to the Portage County Sheriff's Office.
David E. Abel III, 43, of 821 Cleveland Road, and Heather M. Mudery, 26, of 3141 Denny Road, Shalersville, were arrested June 13 and charged with one count each of possession of drugs, both fifth-degree felonies, and possession of drug paraphernalia, both first-degree misdemeanors. Mudery was behind the wheel of a black 2002 Ford truck stopped by a deputy in the area of Oakwood Road and Highland Avenue, with Abel as a passenger. Inside the truck, the deputy allegedly found a clear plastic bag containing suspected methamphetamine and a glass smoking device that also tested positive for meth. Mudery also was charged with driving under suspension, a first-degree misdemeanor, according to the Portage County Sheriff's Office.
A 31-year-old South Diamond Street man was arrested June 15 and charged with domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor, after he allegedly pushed a 50-year-old female family member and hit her several times with his arms during an altercation in the 1200 block of South Diamond Street, according to Ravenna police.
A 42-year-old Shalersville man was arrested June 15 on a warrant charging him with domestic violence, a first-degree misdemeanor, for a June 6 incident during which he allegedly threw a folded pocket knife at a female household member during an incident at an apartment in the 1700 block of S.R. 303, hitting her in the face and causing injury according to Streetsboro police.
