CLEVELAND —The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch until Friday for Portage County and all of northeast Ohio.

Showers and thunderstorms will move across the forecast area this morning, then redevelop this afternoon.

Some storms will be capable of producing extremely high rainfall rates and may train over the same areas repeatedly. With soils already saturated from heavy rain earlier this week, flash flooding is possible in any
areas where excessive rainfall occurs.
