ATWATER

Shalako R. Pierce, 24, with a last known address of 418 Porter Road, was arrested July 7 on a warrant charging him with one count each of disrupting public service, a fourth-degree felony, domestic violence, a fifth-degree felony, and endangering children, a first-degree misdemeanor. On June 5, Pierce allegedly punched and slapped a pregnant female family member, then squeezed her around her midsection while she was holding an 8-month-old child. He also allegedly took her cellphone from her as she attempted to call 911, according to the Portage County Sheriff's Office.

AURORA

Brian M. Slater, 38, of 795 Deepwoods Drive, was arrested July 11 and charged with one count each of possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, and possession of drug abuse instruments, a second-degree misdemeanor. Slater allegedly had a full syringe containing methamphetamine in the 900 block of Moneta Avenue, according to Aurora police.

Anthony J. Zingale, 21, of 171 Canterbury West, was arrested July 12 on a warrant charging him with possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. On Feb. 4, during a drug overdose, Zingale allegedly was in possession of a digital scale containing suspected fentanyl, according to Aurora police.

BRIMFIELD

A 32-year-old Akron man was arrested July 7 and charged with theft, a first-degree misdemeanor, after he allegedly stole $9.64 worth of merchandise from the Walmart store at 250 Tallmadge Road, according to Brimfield police.

A 19-year-old Akron man was arrested July 6 on a warrant charging him with theft, a first-degree misdemeanor, after he allegedly stole merchandise worth less than $1,000 from the Walmart, 250 Tallmadge Road on May 31 and did not respond to a summons to appear in court to face the charge, according to Brimfield police.

GARRETTSVILLE

William J. O'Connor, 20, of Wadsworth, was arrested July 7 and charged with possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony. O'Connor allegedly possessed methamphetamine, according to Garrettsville police.

RAVENNA

A 33-year-old Shalersville man was arrested July 8 and charged with violating a protection order, a first-degree misdemeanor, after he followed a protected person in his car, according to Ravenna police.

RAVENNA TOWNSHIP

Bruce W. Moore, 40, of 6538 Cleveland Road, was arrested July 12 and charged with possession of drugs, a fifth-degree felony, after a deputy allegedly found unprescribed Percocet in his possession at S.R. 59 and Wall Street, according to the Portage County Sheriff's Office.

A 44-year-old man with a last known address in Kent was arrested July 6 and charged with possession of criminal tools, a first-degree misdemeanor, and possession of marijuana, a minor misdemeanor, after a deputy allegedly found a black digital scale containing marijuana residue and less than 100 grams of marijuana in his possession in the 6500 block of Cleveland Road, according to the Portage County Sheriff's Office.

STREETSBORO

Jerry L. Spencer Jr., 42, with a last known address of 9152 Hampshire St., Windham Township, was arrested July 7 on a warrant charging him with theft, a fifth-degree felony. On June 24, Spencer allegedly stole a TAG Heuer Link watch, worth $1,250, from the Collectors Palace, 9274 S.R. 43, according to Streetsboro police.
