The Mental Health and Recovery Board of Portage County, a network of care for all generations, recently held its annual dinner and recognition program at the Rusty Nail Banquet Hall in Twin Lakes. Preceding the dinner event, the 100 guests in attendance viewed a collection of artwork organized by Coleman staff member Robert Kirkpatrick of Ravenna.

Serving as master of ceremonies, Chairman Ron Heineking presented plaques of appreciation to retiring board members Elaine Alexander, Charlotte Doherty and Art Whitmore, all of Kent, and Beatrice Mitchell of Ravenna.

Brad Slease of Kent and Cathy Sly of Ravenna each spoke about their recoveries.

Also recognized were Bradley Gray, Angie Collins and Elizabeth Curtis, all of Ravenna.

Roberta O'Keefe, executive director of the board, introduced guest speaker Suzanne Dulaney of Columbus, associate chief executive officer of the Ohio Association of County Behavioral Health Authorities, the statewide organization that represents all of Ohio's county mental health and recovery boards.

The Mental Health and Recovery Board network of care includes Coleman Professional Services, Children's Advantage, Townhall II, Family and Community Services Inc., The Bair Foundation and Compass Recovery.

Amie Cajka, director of community relations, coordinated the dinner arrangements.
