Catalyst Church will be dropping thousands of Easter eggs from a helicopter at Ravenna Football Stadium on Saturday.

This is the second year for the event.

The Kent-based church will provide thousands of plastic eggs containing candy, along with chances to win iPods, gift cards and other prizes.

Open to all children in fifth grade and younger, this free event features age-appropriate easter egg fields.

The stadium is located at 6589 N. Chestnut St., Ravenna.

The event orignally was set to take place last weekend but was rescheduled.

Parking and admission are free. Registration begins at 10 a.m. sharp, with the helicopter arriving around 11 a.m. Pre-registration is available online at www.CatalystChurch.cc.

"Things went so well last year," said the Rev. Jonathan Herron, pastor of the church. "Over 600 people came out and enjoyed the morning. We're really looking forward to sharing this Easter season with our community again this year."

Additionally, the Egg Drop will serve as a kick-off to a new season at Catalyst Church featuring independent singer/songwriter Jason Bonham as the church's new worship leader.

Catalyst is a Christian church that meets at 10:30 a.m. Sundays at The Kent Stage, 175 East Main Street, Kent.
