Cecilia Marie Craycroft (Sims), age 83, passed away on May 4, 2008, at her home where she lived in Ravenna for 56 years. She was born April 24, 1925, in Athertonville, Kentucky. She became a nurse then married her childhood sweetheart, the late Dr. Joseph Gerald Craycroft in 1948, who preceded her in death in 1996. They moved to Ravenna in 1952, where Dr. Craycroft established a dental practice and they became members of Immaculate Conception Church. Cecilia was a loving homemaker, wife, mother, and grandmother, who enjoyed a variety of activities, including gardening, sewing, painting, and making porcelain dolls. She is survived by her children Jeannette, Rosemary, Joseph G. Jr., Sheila, Rita, Martha and Christine, three sons-in-law and twelve grandchildren. The family is holding private memorial services.
