Pauline M. (Yankovich) Richards

Pauline M. (Yankovich) Richards, 80 of 406 Arlington Blvd. Newton Falls passed away at Laurie Ann Nursing Home on Aug. 21, 2008. She was born the loving daughter of Samuel and Helen (Kolesar) Yankovich on Nov. 16, 1927 in Akron, Pauline was a 1945 graduate of Paris High School and a 1957 graduate of Kent State University. On June 10, 1951 she was united into marriage with Donald E. Richards. Upon receiving her degree as a teacher she taught at Immaculate Conception in Ravenna and St. Mary School in Newton Falls for 5 years each, she than taught at Newton Falls Middle School for 15 years. Pauline was a parishioner of St. Joseph Church in Newton Falls. She was a member of Hobby Hunters and Bridge Club both of Newton Falls. In her spare time she enjoyed crocheting, knitting, playing bridge, collecting owl memorabilia and was an avid wine maker. Pauline and Don have also had the pleasure of traveling extensively throughout the United States and many foreign countries. Memories of Pauline will be carried on by her husband, sister Natalie (Leonard) Stemple of Munroe Falls, brothers Dr. Walter (Mildred) Yankovich, of Akron, and Mark (Sally) Yankovich of Kent, sister- in-law, Gloria Yankovich, daughter in law Diana Richards, grandchildren Jenna Richards and Kylie Richards (Derik Mullins), great grandson Aiden Mullins, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death were her parents, son Jeffery D. Richards, brother Thomas Yankovich and brother and sister in law Melvin (Eleanor) Yankovich. Cremation has taken place. A memorial mass will be held at St. Joseph Church with Rev. Matthew Mankowski officiating on Sat Aug. 30, 2008 at 10:30 AM. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the mass.
