Edward Lowe was born to Mr. Dave H. Lowe and Jennie (Edwards) Lowe, in Ravenna, Ohio. On Monday, August 25, 2008, surrounded by his family, the Lord called him home. Edward was a 1970 graduate of Theodore Roosevelt High School, where he played fullback on the football team and was a guard for the basketball team, where he received the Glenn Pierson Award. Ed also attended Kent State University. He served 2 years in the Army, stationed in Germany, and was employed by The Davey Tree Company for many years. Ed is survived by his loving parents, Dave and Jennie (Edwards) Lowe, and his brother Rickey Lowe; 2 nephews, Arriaes and Kole Rager; uncles, Richard (Alice) Edwards, Shaker Hts, Oh.; James (Shirley) Edwards, Akron, Oh; and Joseph (Muriel) Edwards, Kent, Oh., and many cousins and friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2008, at the Spelman Chapel AME Church at 1:00 P.M. with Pastor Julene Thompson and Rev. Keith Jones officiating. Visitation 1 hour before at 12:00 noon. The casket will be closed at 1:00 p.m. Interment Standing Rock Cemetery. Bissler & Sons Funeral home is handling the arrangements. (RC 08-28, 29-08)
