The man Cleveland police believe responsible for the deaths of five people Thursday night on the city's west side has ties to Ravenna.
At the height of the search Friday, Portage County Sheriff Dave Doak said Cleveland police issued a be-on-the-look-out to his office for 33-year-old Davon Crawford. Crawford killed himself Friday in Cleveland.
Doak said he did not believe Crawford was from the Ravenna area but believes he had acquaintances in Portage County.
"Basically, he has some ties in Ravenna," Doak said.
