During the recent meeting of the Rootstown Lions Club, Lion Don Cardinal was presented with the Lion of the Year award by committee members. From left are Bob Baumgarder, Cardinal, Dave Shabino, Joe Paulus and Barb Sorkin. Cardinal has been part of the Lions for about two years and has been a very involved member. Known to many of the Lions members as "Mr. Popcorn," the club was happy to recognize Cardinal's devotion and efforts for showing up for nearly all of the club events and for successfully co-chairing the most recent spaghetti dinner fund-raiser.
