The Ravenna Parks and Recreation Department is offering Baby-sitter Training for ages 11 to 15. The class will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 25 at the American Red Cross Building, 705 Oakwood St., Ravenna.
Training will give participants the knowledge, skill and confidence to care for infants through school-age children. Training addresses safety issues, preventing injuries and illness, basic child care, first aid, decision-making skills and age-appropriate behavior and play. Participants are asked to bring a lunch and a doll or stuffed animal.
The class fee of $55 is payable to the "City of Ravenna" and is due one week prior to class. To register, call 330-296-2864 or stop in at 530 N. Freedom St.
