On the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi, Deacons Mike Stabilla and Tim DeFrange of St. Patrick Church in Kent blessed the animals of members of the parish. Parishioners stand with their animals and read along as Deacon Stabilla blesses the animals in the presence of relics of St. Francis of Assisi. This annual celebration saw 19 dogs, six cats, four fish, three guinea pigs, two ponies, two rats and one mouse.
