They say that it comes in threes. The Ravenna community lost three wonderful people over the past few weeks. First Mr. Claude Moore on Oct. 15, then Mrs. Margaret Davis on Oct. 20 and then Mrs. Carolyn Mims on Oct. 24. Each of these three people were well-known, well-loved community people who had all made a difference in the lives of those who knew them. They will be greatly missed by family and friends, but what an honor it was for me to have known people of such caliber, such quality and such an ability to love others. Yes, they will be missed, but they have gone on to a better place than this old earth. ------ On behalf of the Ohio Benefit Bank, I would like to personally thank Dave Blankenship and Reed Memorial Library in Ravenna for the use of their computer lab over the past seven months as a training center. The Benefit Bank has trained more than 35 people as Certified OBB Benefits and Tax Counselors at the library computer lab. The Benefit Bank has also been able to utilize the Community Action Council Community Technology Learning Center, thanks to David Shea, and the Kent State University Allerton Apartments computer room, thanks to Brian Hellwig, for additional training. ------ (photo) My husband, Eddie, and I are both so very proud of our grandson, Anthony Banks. Anthony played on the seventh-grade Ravenna football team this year for the first time as No. 11 and did a wonderful job. Anthony is not only handsome, but also talented. He plays the drums for our church, plays basketball and we believe may be a preacher when he grows up. He does love to act, so there may be an acting career in his future, too. His mother, Antoinette Brown, has done a great job raising him and teaching him. ------ The Rev.
