Leah Hartong and Travis Thompson were united in marriage by the Rev. Terry Smith at the Ravenna Church of Christ on Aug. 15. The bride is the daughter of Gerald and Mary Ann Hartong of Ravenna. The groom is the son of Betty Thompson of Ravenna and the late Thomas Thompson. The bride was escorted by her father. She chose a strapless wedding gown featuring a gathered skirt, a beaded bodice and a corset back. She carried pink stargazer lilies to complement the wedding colors of fuchsia and brown. Vanessa Hartong of Ravenna served as her sister's maid of honor. Jessica Myers of Ravenna, the cousin of the bride, was the flower girl. Bridesmaids were Natalie Hartong of Ravenna, sister of the bride, and Erin Hannay of Columbus. Mike Snodgrass of Ravenna was the best man. Groomsmen were Jack Zeller of Ravenna and Nathan Hughes of Columbus. A reception was held immediately following the ceremony at the Elks Club in Ravenna. Both the bride and groom are graduates of Ravenna High School and are now attending the Ohio State University. They are living in Columbus. Comments
