From Staff Reports

A Ravenna Township woman charged in the drowning of two rabbits at a Chapel Hill Mall pet store in Akron pleaded guilty this week and was sentenced to probation in Akron Municipal Court Thursday.

Akron City Prosecutor Doug Powley said Liz Carlisle, 20, of 3146 Pondview Drive, pleaded guilty to two counts of animal cruelty. She received a $250 fine and will perform 120 hours of community service. Powley said Carlisle will be placed on six months probation. He added the probation department will determine if Carlisle receives counseling.

Carlisle was charged in August with the two misdemeanor charges after she allegedly boasted on Facebook about drowning the animals.

She was scheduled to go on trial in December.

I'm sure this chick isn't the first, nor is she the last to post something idiotic on her facebook/myspace/twitter, etc.

So just because she drowned two rabbits, automatically this makes her some sort of deranged person that will continue to abuse animals?

You people are a hoot!

I'm all for animal rights. Humans are animals, so I am also for human rights.
Even if it doesn't seem to be equal justice, the law has levied a penalty. The woman is paying for her sin. Now let her be.

johnmike-
are you some sicko who thinks it is no big deal to drown rabbits? Or you must be that person who kills hunting dogs that will not hunt. You have got to be kidding me, this woman got exactly what she deserved and should also not be allowed to care for or own any animals in the future.
There has been a study that people who kill, torture etc. animals lead to eventually targeting humans. This person is sick!!!
