Health care bill a treasonous act

Share_email E-mail Story    |    Share_print Print Story    |    Comments    |

Our family does not support this health care fiasco. It is not well conceived. It will not be well administered. We urge all responsible members of Congress to vote "No" on the Affordable Health Care for America Act.

It is unconstitutional. It is beyond fiscally irresponsible. It will not do what those who support it think it will. It is about power and control -- concepts that are totally un-American.

A 2.5 percent tax to those not covered or jail is unconstitutional. The Constitution of the United States of America forbids "debtor's prisons."

Those who support this bill are following the Communist Manifesto, breaching their oath of office and appear to be supporting treason against the Constitution for the United States of America.

If Congress forces this health care bill upon us, then they can force anything upon us, proving that the federal and state constitutions are suspended and we are living under a government de facto.

Peace was never declared after the Civil War, and we are still functioning under the war powers. This explains why we don't win in the courts.

The people really need to wake up and find out who the slaves really are. You are guaranteed a republic. Why don't you get it?

Also, craven and dishonest.

Poo-Bah,

"KentCouncilWatch" on the other thread at nos. 69 and 71 is the same person who has been faking our online names.

Please don't let his perverted roleplaying suck you in, especially in comments on that very serious story.

That is not my comment at #9.

There is a trollish local conservative Republican who exploits a flaw in this newspaper's online registration process to mimic the online names of persons with whom he disagrees.

This has been going on for weeks. Sadly, the Record-Courier cannot or will not do anything about it.

Our current system is a mess. WE pay the most per person and are ranked beyond Costa Rica (32nd in the world) for health care outcomes. It is a drag on the economy, on business, and on families. Our choice is regulated by corporations- who they will cover, at what price, when they will raise their rates, when you will be dropped, what services they will pay for, what pre-existing conditions will be denied, and if you are entitled to payment we might try to find something in your application 10 years ago to deny coverage.

Being a right wing nut case is is your right as an American, even if that means paranoia, fear mongering, or a less than astute grasp of history or the political process.

What is unpatriotic and un American is to be a corporate or political shill at the cost of this country's health, economy, and security.

Fair Tax, politics are politics and dirty tricks are dirty tricks. Leave it to a Republican to be unable to tell the difference between the two.

I'd rather have painless Republican dirty tricks over $300 million dollar bribes from Democrats to Democrats. It's a pretty sad day in America that Reid had to extend the $300 million dollar bribe to Senator Landrieu from Louisiana to get her vote to allow debate on the terrible Health Insurance Reform Bill. Way to go Senator Reid, you had to bribe to get this bill on the floor.

Oh and what about the Democrat dirty trick to make the Health Insurance Reform Bill supposedly deficit neutral. Pay for it for 10 years but only cover six years of service.

I guess we can surmise that the Democrats are better at playing dirty tricks than the RC Faker.
