At least six area fire departments responded shortly after 5 p.m. Wednesday to a structure fire in a detached garage and workshop at the rear of 5422 New Milford Road, near the intersection of Hayes Road in Ravenna Township. Battling strong wind gusts at or around 30 miles per hour and near-freezing temperatures, firefighters pulled down siding, cut through a garage door with saws and hosed down the interior of the building, which was fully engulfed in flames when they arrived. Half of the structure’s roof was caved in. The Ravenna Township, Ravenna, Edinburg, Mantua-Shalersville, Palmyra and Rootstown fire departments and the Portage County Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident.

What's the deal with all the Ravenna stories in the RC lately? I'll keep posting this and they can keep taking it down. Don't they care about all the big stories in Kent? Let's get some clear pictures and better stories about Kent and stop talking about the news in Ravenna!

Kidding....!
