"Tetélestai: The Trial, Execution & Resurrection of Jesus the Messiah" will be performed at 8 p.m. Feb. 12 and 13 and at 3 p.m. Feb. 14 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 342 S. Chillicothe Road, Aurora. It will be presented by Cleveland Performing Arts Ministries, a nonprofit group of believers dedicated to find, promote and produce quality family entertainment that illustrates the value of basic Christian principles. "Tetélestai" is a Greek word meaning "It is finished." The contemporary musical portrays the last week in the life of Jesus, from his triumphant entry into Jerusalem, through his trial, execution and resurrection. The long-running passion play is a local Easter tradition. The presentation was created by Russ and Joel Nagy of Upper Arlington Lutheran Church in Columbus. Russ composed the contemporary music score, while Joel put the script and lyrics together by laying out the Gospels side by side. The play is about two hours in length, with a short intermission. A reception follows each performance, affording an opportunity for the audience to meet and mingle with the cast and crew. Doors open one hour before the performance. There is no admission charge, but freewill offerings will be welcomed at the end of each performance. For more information, call the church at 330-562-8519 or visit www.tetelestai-cpam.org.
